The characteristic nose of Fokker 50 c/n 20287 U-06 of the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) at Leeuwarden AB in The Netherlands (EHLW) on 17 September 2011 during the Open Days of the Dutch air force. It is named Robbie Wijting, after the general who served as Chief of Staff of the Dutch armed forces in the seventies of the last century. The aircraft made its first flight on 15 July 1993 and was delivered to the Dutch air force on 22 November 1996. Please note that the Battle of the Noses II wilol end on 30 June 2012.
