Nortn American F-100D Super Sabre c/n 223-145 (original serial number 54-2265) as displayed at the Dutch Military Aviation Museum (MLM) near the former Soesterberg air base in The Netherlands. The aircraft is painted to resemble the Super Sabre with serial number 54-1871 that served with USAF 32 squadron at Soesterbg air base. The dispayed aircraft was never employed by this squadron though. It first went to the French Air Force and after having been phased out it served as a gateguard at RAF Wetherfield since 1976. In 2007 it went to the Dutch MLM. The real 54-1871 was phased out in 1974. It went to the US Military Aircraft Storage & Disposition Centre on 24 April 1974 and has not been heard of since.
