Boeing 747-406F c/n 33695 PH-CKB, named "Leeuwin" (the Dutch word for lioness) climbing away from Schiphol Amsterdam airport (EHAM) on 8 April 2011. The aircraft first flew on 20 April 2003, was delivered to KLM on 30 April 2003 and entered the Dutch register a day later. According to the text on the forward fuselage PH-CKB is operated by Martinair, the former charter company and 100% KLM daughter that will cease passenger operations this year and will become a dedicated cargo airline. Superfluous Martinair pilots and cabin crew will transfer to KLM, but will lose their seniority and will have to climb the ladder from the bottom up once again.
