A real Battle of the noses is raging on AirSpace for some weeks now. It started with images of DC-3s and in the meantime its predecessor DC-2 joined the contest. But it looks now as if the battle is broadening. This is an image of a bunch of noses at the National Aviation Theme Park Aviodrome (or Aviodrome museum) at Lelystad airport in The Netherlands (EHLE) on 20 August 2011. From left to right we see de Havilland D.H.104 Sea Devon C.20 c/n04453 in Martinair colors and pseudo registration PH-MAD, a cockpit mockup of the Fokker 100, the nose section of Transavia Sud-Aviation SE 210 Caravelle III c/n 33 PH-TRO, Lockheed 749A Constellation N749NL in KLM livery and with pseudo Dutch registration PH-FLE and the second flying prototype of the Fokker F27 c/n 10102 PH-NVF. The high-heeled lady next to the F27 wheel must be a member of the jury for this Battle. But AirSpace user Flyvertosset does not need her verdict. For him, there can be only one type the winner, whoever participates: the DC-3!
