Cockpit of Hawker Seahawk FGA50 c/n 6629 of the Dutch Naval Air Service (in Dutch: Marine Luchtvaart Dienst or MLD) with tailnumber 118 in the Tradition Room of Naval Air Station De Kooy in The Netherlands (EHKD) on 21 September 2011. The aircraft became operational with the Dutch Navy on 23 October 1957 and was phased out on 2nd March 1964. The "D" on the tail indicates the aircraft served on board the Royal Dutch Navy's aircraft carrier "Karel Doorman". Note the two lids with the text "safe" on top of the joystick (partiallly visible down in the middle), under which the fire buttons are hidden.
