de Havilland DH89A Rapide 6 c/n 6968 G-AIDL with RAF livery and its original RAF registration TX310 has just taken off for its flight home after displaying during the Open Days of the Dutch air force at Volkel airbase in The Netherlands (EHVK) on 15 June 2013. G-AIDL was manufactured in 1946 by the Brush Coachworks in Loughborough. The aircraft is still owned by Air Atlantique, but now operated by the recently formed Classic Air Force trust, based at the aircraft museum at Newquay airport, Cornwall. The DH-89A Rapide 6 is better known as the Dragon Rapide, which was the name under which it was first marketed.
