Rear left view of North American B-25N Mitchell c/n 108-32782 PH-XXV at Soesterberg AB in The Netherlands on 17 September 2008. The aircraft, built in 1944, is operated by the Royal Netherlands Air Force Historic Flight (in Dutch: "Koninklijke Luchtmacht Historische Vlucht"). The aircraft is painted to resemble B-25 N5-149 of 18 squadron in the former Dutch East Indies colony (now Indonesia) after World War 2. Under the horizontal tail of the right side of the aircraft, posted to this gallery on Monday December 13, 2010, the former U.S. registration N320SQ is visible, which was given to the aircraft at the time it was prepared for the ferry flight to The Netherlands in 1990. The registration is a tribute to the Dutch 320 squadron, which operated as part of the RAF during WWII. Before the present paint scheme was applied, the aircraft was painted in the historic colors of 320 squadron. More (detailed) photos of the Dutch B-25 have already been posted to this EnoAeroPics gallery. Collect them all!
