Dutch demo Apache Q-17 15062013
It looked as if there would never again be a Dutch Apache demo team after budget cuts forced the Dutch air force to disband the team after the 2011 airshow season. However, the Apache Solo Display Team was reinstated in 2013 to contribute to the celebration of 100 years of military aviation in The Netherlands. Team captain is still major Roland “Wally” Blankenspoor. This year's first officer is captain Harm “Kaas” Cazemier. Boeing AH-64D Apache c/n DN017 with tailnumber Q-17 of the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) 301 squadron was again chosen as the demo Apache. It is seen here at the end of its display during the Open Days of the RNLAF at Volkel Airbase (EHVK) in The Netherlands on 15 June 2013. Apache Q-17 started its service life with the Dutch Air Force on 12 January 2001.
