Fading celebration scheme on Dutch F-16 29082013
Lockheed Martin F-16A Block 20 MLU (or F-16AM) c/n 6D-162 (produced by the former Fokker factory in 1990 at Schiphol Amsterdam airport with local c/n L-285) and U.S. Fiscal Year Number 88-0006, with tailnumber J-006 of the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) 322 squadron touches down at Volkel airbase in The Netherlands (EHVK) on 29 August 2013. The name of pilot Lt. col. Ronald "Ronny" van der Jagt is painted under the canopy. Last June the aircraft received a special tail scheme to celebrate 70 years of 322 squadron. It showed a Spitfire, surrounded by the text "70 years 322 squadron", but only a few months later most of the paint has already come off. J-006 was handed over to the Dutch air force on 13 November 1990 as an F-16A Block 15AG OCU and was later converted to the Block 20 MLU standard.
