McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) F-18C Hornet c/n 1421/FNC024 of the Finnish Air Force with registration HN-424 and tailnumber 24 of 21 squadron (in Finnish: hävittäjälentolaivue 21) being prepared by the ground crew for its performance during the Open Days of the Dutch Air Force at Leeuwarden Air Base in The Netherlands (EHLW) on 17 September 2011. Note the tailor-made stairs that can be attached to the fuselage and the rugged undercarriage, designed to survive the last-second stall landing on board of an aircraft carrier.
