General Dynamics (Lockheed Martin) F-16C Block 40H c/n 4R-91 with registration 91-0011 with gold-coloured engine cover at Leeuwarden air base in The Netherlands (EHLW) before its display during the second day of the Open Days of the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) on 17 September 2011. The aircraft is the Turkish Air Force's solodemonstrator. Its colour scheme was revealed during a ceremony in april this year. It commemorates 100 years of Turkish air power, with the 100 years logo on the right fin under the aircraft and the signature of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish state, on the left fin. The aircraft was built by Turkish Aircraft Industries (nowTurkish Aerospace Industries) and delivered to the Turkish Air Force on 23 February 1992. It currently flies with the 141 Filo (Turkish for squadron) at Akinci Air Base, northwest of Turkish capital Ankara. The registration 91-0011 is also the US fiscal year number, assigned by US congress, which has to appropriate the production of all US military equipment, in the US and abroad. The first two digits refer to the year of appropriation, in this case 1992. More images of the Turkish AF solo demonstrator have been posted to this EnoAeroPics gallery (see link below).
