Hercules G-781 RNLAF in EHEH hangar 0092010
Lockheed C-130H Hercules c/n 382-4781 (US fiscal year number 160608) with tailnumber G-781 and named "Bob van der Stok" of the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) in one of the hangars at Eindhoven AB in the Netherlands (EHEH) on 5 September 2012. The aircraft was built in 1978 as a type EC-130Q for the US Navy. It was phased out by the US Navy on 9 September 1991 and stored with the US air force Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) at Davis Monthan air base in Tucson, Arizona, better known as "the boneyard". It entered the FAA register as N14781 with Derco Aerospace as owner on 15 August 2005. The aircraft was bought by the Dutch air force and the US registration was cancelled on 23 May 2006. It was then transported by sea and road to Marshall Aerospace in the UK and extensively upgraded. G-781 was delivered to the Dutch air force on 15 July 2010.
