Since the advent of the digital camera I tried to get my aircraft photos as sharp and bright as possible and I only printed the ones that complied with this standard. But then you can miss out on photos with special features. As friends pointed out to me this image of a KLM Boeing 747 has a certain "artistic touch" because of the haze and the distance. One of them even said it looked like an aquarelle. And indeed, when viewed from some distance, I began to like it. So I decided to post it to my gallery and let you guys out there be the judges. Best viewed on your screen from a distance of some two meters in a somewhat darker room. Give it a try!
The aircraft is Boeing 747-406BC c/n 28196 PH-BFU "City of Beijing" of KLM Royal Dutch airlines, photographed on 1st July 2012 just before it disappeared in the clouds after overflying my home at 4000 ft on its way to Schiphol Amsterdam airport (EHAM).
