Lockheed Martin C-130J-30 Super Hercules c/n 382-5537 with tailnumber B-537 at Eindhoven Air Base in The Netherlands (EHEH) on 7 September 2011. The "Super" is the latest Hercules variant. The C-130J-30 is the longer fuselage version of this latest Hercules variant. The fuselage of the C-130J-30 is almost 5 meters longer than of the standard C-130J (34,4 m against 29,8 m, or 112 ft 9in against 97ft 9in), as is apparent in an image posted earlier (see link below). A feature which distinguishes the C-130J from earlier types are the 6-bladed propellors, compared to the four characteristic broad blades of the earlier Hercules'. The Danish air force operates four of the type with Eskadrille (squadron) 721 of the Air Transport Wing at Aalborg. Delivery of the aircraft ordered by the Danes began in 2004.
