Racing Dornier 228 PH-CGC Dutch Coast Guard 08042011
Dornier 228-212 c/n 8183 PH-CGC of the Dutch Coast Guard (in Dutch: "Kustwacht") in front of the Jet Support hangar on the business aircraft platform of Schiphol Amsterdam airport in The Netherlands (EHAM) on 8 April 2011. It has a white replacement rudder after the original one was damaged.The aircraft made its first flight on 2 June 1990 and is operated by the Dutch Coast Guard since 18 September 2007. It was previously flying with LTA of Venezuela as YV-533C. The Dutch Coast Guard has two Dorniers 228, the second one being c/n 8181 PH-CGN. In the 1950s the registration PH-CGC was used for Convair 340-48 c/n 144 of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, named "Jacob Maris" after a famous Dutch painter.
