Sud Aviation SA 316B Alouette of the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) with tailnumber A-301 hovering taking off from Soesterberg AB in The Netherlands on September 15, 2005. The Alouette entered service with the RNLAF in 1964 and four are still in use with 300 squadron of the Defense Helicopter Command (DHC) of the Dutch Air Force. The four remaining Alouettes (A-247, A-275, A-292, and A-301) are painted in the royal blue livery for government VIP-transport (the colour is also used for government cars and the Queen's Royal Bus). Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands frequently uses A-301 for her visits in the country. One day the pilot had to make an precautionary landing with the queen on board A-301 because of upcomin fog. He arranged a local taxi to bring the queen to her destination.
