The Portuguese government has decided not to accept the € 1.5 billion offer by investor Germán Efromovich, already owner of Avianca Colombia, to buy the Portuguese airline TAP. Privatization of TAP is one of the conditions of the European Commission for a  € 78 billion loan to the Portuguese government. One of the reasons not to accept the bid is that only € 35 million will go to the Portuguese state, while the rest is needed to lower the debt of TAP. Earlier, IAG Group (British Airways and Iberia) and Alitalia withdrew their offer.

The image shows Airbus A320-214 c/n 4154 CS-TNV "Grão Vasco" on final to runway 27-09 at  Schiphol Amsterdam airport in The Netherlands (EHAM) on 20 September 2012, carrying out flight TP662 from Lisbon. The aircraft made its first flight on 30 November 2009 as F-WWIY and was delivered to TAP on 24 December 2009.
