McDonnell Douglas MD-11F c/n 48757 (l/n 606) PH-MCU "Prinses Máxima" of Martinair Holland just after take-off from Schiphol Amsterdam airport in The Netherlands (EHAM), on 28 August 2013. The aircraft was delivered to Martinair on 1st October 1996 and received its name “Prinses Máxima” in 2003. The princess recently became Queen of the Netherlands, but the MD-11 retained its name. Martinair, once a charter airline that carried numerous holiday passengers, became a dedicated cargo company in 2011 as part of Air France-KLM. The aircraft is one of 30 MD-11Fs operated by European airlines.
