Flypast of McDonnell Douglas KDC-10 c/n 46956 (l/n 235) of the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF), tailnumber T-235, with its refueling boom extended and two F-16s in its wake over Volkel air base in The Netherlands (EHVK) during the Open Days of the Dutch Air Force on 15 June 2013. The KDC-10 made its first flight on 11 November 1976 as a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30CF and went to Dutch carrier Martinair as PH-MBP on 23 December 1976. From 1977 to 1980 it served with Garuda Indonesian and Phillipine Airlines while it retained its Dutch registration. The RNLAF acquired it on 3 February 1995 and had it converted for a combined passenger/cargo/tanker role, with a refueling boom under the tail. The F-16s behind the KDC-10 are (from top to bottom) J-014 and J-016.
