Tribute to the Dutch House of Orange #3
On Tuesday 30 April 2013 at 10.07 a.m. Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands, member of the House of Orange, signed her abdication declaration and at the same moment her eldest son became King Willem-Alexander of The Netherlands. As a tribute to the House of Orange I will post images of aircraft with various amounts of orange in their livery.
This is Reims/Cessna 172 F17200861 PH-LUU in an earlier livery at Rotterdam airport in The Netherlands (EHRD) on 17 June 2004. The aircraft was built in 1972 and entered the Dutch register on 16 June 1972. It was involved in an accident on 3 February 1974 when it overran the icy grass runway at Hilverrsum airport (EHHV) and ended in a ditch. The aircraft was repaired and came back on the Dutch register on 10 January 1975.
