de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter c/n 518 PJ-WIN of Windward Island Airways (Winair) at Juancho E. Yrausquin airport on the Dutch island of Saba in the Caribean (TNCS) on 5 May 2010. The aircraft was first delivered to Deutsche Lufttransport as D-IDWT on 7 December 1976 and was later used by Skytrail (ASC Air Safaris) of Kenya as 5Y-SKA before it went to Winair in September 2008. Saba island claims to have the shortest runway for regular commercial air services in the world, with a length of only 400 m. The island mainly consistsof the sleeping vulcano Mount Scenery. The airport is located on a flat extension (Flat Point) of the rock. The photo was taken by my colleague Tineke Zuidervaart during a business trip.
