Piper PA.22 which competed in the 1956 National Air Races. G-AJRH was flown to victory by Jim Denyer at the King's Cup air race held at Coventry (Bagington) Airport.

Yes...an Auster J-1 Autocrat with the 90 bhp motor. Note the four straight exhaust stacks. The J1-B Aiglet had/has the 130 bhp Gipsy Major and a muffler assembly. Actually, back then they were marketed as the Taylorcraft "Auster". Refer ads. in "Flight".

Aircraft is presently located at the Charnwood Museum in Loughborough and liveried in the King's Cup  number 7 winning scheme of Powder Blue and Black.
