G-MKIA/P9374 Vickers-Supermarine Spitfire Mk1 was dug up from a Calais beach (where it had lain since May 1940) in the 1980's and rebuilt to finally fly again in September 2011. It is unique among current Spitfire restorations in that it flies in the black and white undersIde markings in use prior to the Battle of Britain.
