Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, AF-1 & AF-2 on a test flight
"One of the reasons there will be fewer of the new F-35 fighters, (65 instead of 80) is that the new fighters will have significantly greater capacity than existing ones", Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper told a news conference
Thus far, the F-35 flight test force has executed 808 total flights totaling 1,227 total flight hours, according to the director of business development for the program at Lockheed Martin.
AF-1: 132 Total Flights/236.8 Total Flight Hours, AF-2: 120 Total Flights/217.7 Total Flight Hours.
