Seair Viking DHC-2 Beaver Taking off from Vancouver Float Plane Base

Incorporated in 1980, Seair Seaplanes began a business associated with aircraft chartering, maintenance and servicing. With a successful charter operation already established at Vancouver Airport, Seair launched a scheduled service to the Gulf Islands providing customers with 8 flights daily and service to Nanaimo with up to 10 flights per day.

Advanced Wing Technologies of Vancouver British Columbia has developed and certified a new wing for the DHC-2. The FAA Supplemental Type Certificate also raises the aircraft's gross weight to 6000 lbs.So far, at least two Beavers have been so modified.
