One man's junk is another man's treasure. We've all heard it before, but seldom do we get examples that exemplify the saying as well as the Boneyard Project at the Pima Air & Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona.
Using disused aircraft as the canvas, a notable cast of international artists have invaded the yard, adding their own flair to the forgotten metal giants.
The Boneyard Project: Return Trip” was an art exhibition of scrapped military aircraft that have been repurposed as canvases for contemporary artists. Created by Eric Firestone and organized by curator Carlo McCormick, the exhibition featured works by more than 30 artists including Shepard Fairey, Andrew Schoultz, Faile, and Nunca. The exhibition was on display at the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona.
