The US Navy Operated 142 Lockheed Super Constellations and with their 26 man crew maintained a constant airborne precense over the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, providing an early warning against possible enemy attack. Nine were modified for weather reconnaissance duties and served with the Navys famed Hurricane Hunters squadron. This one named Brenda after the first hurricane it flew into. on display at the US National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola Florida.
