McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) F/A-18C Hornet c/n 1341/FNC009 with registration HN-409 and tailnumber 09 of the Finnish Air Force 11 squadron (in Finnish: hävittäjälentolaivue 11, or HävLLv 11) taking off with a roaring thunder and yellow/blue/redhot exhausts at Leeuwarden air base in The Netherlands (EHLW) during NATO exercise Frisian Flag on 26 April 2012. At 50m from the runway the sound was not very healthy for the ears, but luckily the Dutch air force handed out ear plugs to its guests. Among them your AirSpace photographer ENoAero.
