Well, some smoke may be emitting from the wheels hitting the runway, but what you see is mainly water, stirred up by the engines and wheels of this landing Airbus, as the photo was taken in pouring rain. The aircraft is Airbus A319-114 c/n 694 D-AILM of Lufthansa, landing on runway 27-09 of Schiphol Amsterdam airport in The Netherlands (EHAM) on 20 September 2012 after carrying out flight LH990 from Frankfurt.
