A full scale Spitfire Mk IX replica by Mr Robert Deford, Prescott, Arizona.

The fuselage is welded steel tube covered in aluminium and wooden wings and tail section. Power is provided by an Allison V-1710-63, producing 1325hp, and this turns a cut-down DC-3 propeller. Maiden flight was July 19th, 2003.
