This image shows the vast size and thickness of the wing of the Fokker F.VIIa, the hugely succesful 1920s design of the Dutch manufacturer. This particular aircraft (c/n 5054) is one of only a few surviving original aircraft of this type. In 1955 it flew under its own power from Denmark to The Netherlands. It is now on display at the Aviodrome museum at Lelsytad airport in The Netherlands (EHLE) and painted to resemble KLM's H-NADP, the second aircraft to fly from the Netherlands to the former Dutch colony of the East-Indies (now Indonesia) in the 1920s.
