Avro Anson I, N5344, is prepared to position ATA pilots for their days tasks, to collect and delivery aircraft around the country. If Ferry Control had got it right, there would be another aircraft waiting for them at each airfield where they were delivering to. In this way vast numbers of aircraft were moved to where they were needed without tying down service pilots from the squadrons.
