CAMS 38, F-ESFD takes-off past the USS Pittsburgh anchored off Cowes in the 1923 Schneider Trophy Race. Flown in the race by Lieutenant de Vaisseau Maurice Hurel, he would have to retire on lap 2 with a badly vibrating 360 hp Hispano-Suiza 42 engine.
