Nearing the end of it's career with the Royal Netherlands Air Force, having been officially retired. U-05 and sistership U-06 are still in use as the RNLAF intend to keep the aircraft airworthy with the prospect to sell the aircraft to a civilian operator once they have been struck off charge.
