Actually 4 DC-3's of Cambrian Airways plus a DC-3 of Derby Aviation and two DC-4's of Derby Aviation. Taken by Michael Ogden where my father was the Airport Commandant.

Lady Blanche Douglas. with her daughters. Lady Cathleen Eliot and Lady Rosemary Eliot, Captain Hall and Flying Officer Ogden, inspect the machine in which Lady Blanche was flying to India with Flying Officer Ogden as co-pilot. They were to follow the route of the 1934 Australia race as far as Calcutta.

Taken in August 1926 in Karachi by my father, who was then serving with the RAF at Drigh Road. The caption on the side of the aircraft reads "SIR CHARLES WAKEFIELD / FLIGHT /TO AUSTRALIA / DH 50" . Alan Cobham was knighted on his return to UK
