Model Year: 1946 Construction Number: 42961

Built in 1946 this aircraft is one of the youngest of the type flying. She has been a corporate aircraft her entire life. Built under a US Air Force contract as a C-117 at the very end of WW II, she was converted to a DC-3 at the Santa Monica factory and sold into civilian use when all government contracts were cancelled. Esther Mae is still operated today as a corporate aircraft and flies under a 14 CFR part 135 regulation.
