One of the most unique aircraft ever produced, the Fiesler Fi-156 Storch was an aircraft built for a specific task. Able to take off and land in literally twice its own length, it was perfect for forward air observation on battlefields and air ambulance work. Flying for the German Luftwaffe in WWII, it saw service on all fronts.This one is flying and belongs to the Collings Foundation.
