This is a big aircraft when seen at close quarters in the Mach Loop. The sound is awesome, though I'm sure many of the locals do not share my sentiment.

F.15 E Strike Eagle from RAF Lakenheath at low level in North Wales. Taken negotiating the entrance to Cad Pass nr. Dolgellau. These aircraft are always impressive at low level, especially the size and sound

A shot of Harrier GR.9 ( ZG508 ) in good light. The aircraft is from 4Sqn based at RAF Cottesmore...for the moment that is! The Harriers almost without exception provide some dramatic low level passes in Wales.

This shot was taken on the 27th June 2009. Taken at Cad West in the Mach Loop this F15.E Strike Eagle ( AF91 332 ) from RAF Lakenheath is a very menacing sight at close quarters. The F15's were quite regular visitors in LFA7 in preparation for low level action in Afghanistan.

Shot taken on 4th December 2009 at BAE Warton. This shows Typhoon ZJ700-mark 2000F flown by BAETF. Aircraft took off on full afterburners and went immediately into a vertical climb...levelling out c 6,000ft.
