Kirby Chambliss (Edge 540) from USA performs during the final the Red Bull Air Race in Detroit on Sunday (01-06-08) on the course that twice crosses the international border between the United States and Canada. The 12 best pilots race ahead of 750.000 spectators through the 3.8-mile long course over the Detroit River at speeds of up to 230 mph while enduring forces of up to10G. The race was won by American Kirby Chambliss ahead of British World Series Leader Paul Bonhomme and Austrian rookie Hannes Arch.
