S-3A's in storage at AMARG Davis Monthan AFB , Tucson, Arizona . Almost the entire surviving fleet of S-3A's are now stored at AMARG . Only a few aircraft remain operational at Point Mugu NAS .
Nice shot! I spoke to Lockheed about whether there are any sell-on plans for the stored S-3s when I visited Marietta last December. The bottom line is that although they're reportedly good jets with plenty of life left, no-one is likely to take them as the effective lone operator of the type. Pity!
