3 Feb 1965 - The fastest girl in town has started working for BOAC. She's called Cindie (Collins International Data Information Equipment), and is a computer that can handle all the airline's messages on its worldwide communications network. At present, with only 45,000 signals a day, Cindie is working only part time. She can take five times that number and is the most advanced message handling computer in the world.
