De Havilland Sea Vixen

A De Havilland Sea Vixen at Bruntingthorpe Cold War Aircraft Collection.

These twin-boom, two seat naval fighters, developed from the DH110, were the last of the De Havilland twin-boom fighters (such as the Vampire and Venom).

The cockpit is offset to port, both to to allow the pilot to reconnaissance, and also because the radar operator was buried in the starboard fuselage in the "Coal Hole" where he could see his radar display better in the dark
