Conceptually, passengers could simultaneously board and disembark in parallel streams along a dedicated air-bridge, joining the aircraft at a point immediately adjacent to their seat and be able to get settled much more rapidly. On wide-bodied aircraft, these doors might be on both sides of the cabin to permit easy boarding.
