Mr G.A. Barnes packs the wings of his Humber-Bleriot monoplane onto a Humber car after the Bournemouth Meeting July 1910. (Pub 26Nov10). Two months later, at a meeting at Folkestone, Barnes had trouble with the controls of his Humber-Bleriot, and jumped overboard from an altitude of 30 feet. Sustaining head injuries and a broken wrist, he recovered to fly again.
