"The aircraft was to take off from the Zwanenburg baan (36C) but took off from the parallel taxiway instead. According to air traffic control the aircraft departed without problems, but without adhering to the procedures. All three parties involved (KLM, LVNL, Schiphol) will not comment further...

In neither case was the weather on approach a challenge, given that Schipols runways that have first class navigation aids and high intensity approach and runway lighting. Plus the crew were already visual with the runway. Bird strike, i very much doubt....there would have been reports from other aircraft...
