Low-cost fever in Mexico

The number of Mexican low-cost carriers keeps growing. Since the launch of Mexicana’s Click in July, five others have announced plans. Tijuana-based Avolar was due to start in mid-September. Interjet ABC has brought forward its launch to December. Three others – Vuela, GOL’s proposed joint venture, and Aerolíneas Mesoamericanas – are scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2006.
