Flight International online news 14:00GMT: Mexican startup Interjet has finalised its memorandum of understanding with Airbus for up to 20 A320s.
The carrier’s CEO Jose Luis Garza Alvarez told Flight's sister publication Air Transport Intelligence the contract for 10 aircraft and 10 options was firmed during an October 27 meeting in New York with the European manufacturer.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2007.
According to Alvarez, Interjet is scheduled to take delivery of three used A320s between November 10 and November 20, and will launch operations on December 1.
