NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, is building a full-sized mock-up of the new Crew Exploration Vehicle’s (CEV) capsule and its cockpit in its Space Vehicle Mockup Facility. The 5.5m (18ft) -wide Apollo-like command capsule will carry up to six people and is one half of the CEV, which includes a service module section. The CEV is three times larger than the Apollo capsule and module.
