Elliott extends Elite Series cockpit conversions for Cessna Citation

Modification specialist Elliott Aviation has launched a cockpit upgrade for Cessna Citation I, II and V series business jets. The Elite Series upgrade, using Universal Avionics flat-panel displays and flight-management system (FMS), is already available for the Citation III and VI, as well as the Dassault Falcon 10 and 100.

The Citation I/II/V upgrade has three Universal EFI-890R 225mm (8.9in)-diagonal primary flight displays (PFD), UNS-1 FMS and optional Meggitt LCD engine indicator. Universal’s UCD electronic flight bag displays charts, while its Vision-1 system displays three-dimensional terrain on the PFD. Also included are traffic collision avoidance and terrain awareness warning systems, uplinked Nexrad weather and reduced vertical separation mimima compliance.

Moline, Illinois-based Elliott has certificated the first two aircraft in the Elite programme, a Citation III and a Falcon 10, both with three 890R displays and Vision-1 synthetic vision. The Citation III is completely refurbished, with new paint, interior and cabin entertainment system in addition to the upgraded cockpit.

Meanwhile, Columbia, Missouri-based Columbia Avionics has teamed with Innovative Systems & Solutions (IS&S) to install flat-panel displays in 500- and 650-series Citations. The upgrade is available with one, two or three IS&S-supplied liquid-crystal displays. Lincoln, Nebraska-based Duncan Aviation is installing a three-screen Honeywell Primus Epic CDS/R system in a Hawker 800A under its Glass Box project to upgrade business aircraft with flat-panel cockpit displays.

  • Elliott expects certification for its Beechcraft King Air 200/300/350 RVSM upgrade in the first quarter of next year. Using Honeywell AM-250 altimeters, the upgrade works with the Bendix/King, Honeywell and Rockwell Collins autopilots fitted to King Airs.
