Maritime Decision

Malaysia is evaluating its maritime patrol options and plans to lease two aircraft by year-end to fulfil its obligation to new joint patrols. The Indonesian Aerospace CN-235 has been excluded from the Malaysian competition, which is expected to end in the next few weeks with the selection of Fokker 50s or Raytheon Beech King Air 350ERs. Singapore is already providing two of its nine Fokker 50 MPAs for the joint patrols, which began in September.
